This Friday Urban Stitch is touching down in a premier and historical location in Oakland. The beautiful Cathedral building is in the heart of Uptown on Broadway. There will be a little taste of shopping local designers, wine tasting, music, and tasty delights for all to enjoy.

It's all going down Friday, April 1st, during Art Mur Mur. Urban Stitch will be a part of a great night to break bread and enjoy fashion and one another-- While supporting local artists, we are also embracing a collective culture in Oakland. Additional proceeds will also be supporting East Oakland's Prescott Elementary school as a community connection in acknowledging the value of our youth.

Help us spread the word and we hope to see you there this Friday!!

I wanted to keep you all posted on our latest offerings. We recently released a Limited Edition Combo Pack, which includes a crewneck sweater with pockets and a matching 5-panel hat. There are 3 combo packs in 3 different colorways all in very limited quantities. Pack number 1, in a gray and red colorway, is now available at one store and one store only. That pack can be purchased NOW at D-Structure on 520 Haight St.(between Fillmore St & Steiner St) in San Francisco. The remaining 2 packs will be released to 2 other stores shortly.

Please Don't Embarrass Them Johnny Flay!!!

Apparently, some folks haven't been paying attention to one word I've been saying since I started teaching this class. I see a lot of folks out there that are malnourished, lacking creativity, and of course missing the most essential piece of my recipes...SWAGG! This is evident by your poor mid-term grades and lack of class participation. But it's not my job to lay down the law in class, that's what the school's fashion police is for. My job is to give y'all the tricks of the trade to survive in this dog eat dog world. Now step your game up and pay attention otherwise you'll be escorted out of my class promptly!

The following ingredients are required for the first dish:

1. Becky's Fiesta Stuffed Peppers - To start this dish, preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) and lightly grease a medium baking dish. This dish must be extremely hot so you have to make sure that you have the baking dish at a high temperature. Before throwing the baking dish in the oven, chop up some of the FAZE Beautiful Silence tee. Next, stuff the Muska High Top by Supra in the Beautiful Silence tee. This dish is starting to look absolutely marvelous! Now, grate some fresh FAZE Fitted over the stuffed Beautiful Silence tee. To finish the preparation of the dish, sprinkle some of the G2 Watch by Flud. Place the dish in the preheated oven and let it cook for 45 minutes. The dish is done when it reaches a simmer and is light brown in color. Before serving the dish, make sure you serve it with a pair of grey denim jeans.

The following ingredients are required for the second dish:

2. Smoked Baby Back Ribs - Make sure you have a fresh slab of the FAZE Young Fire tee in grey to start this dish. Next, marinate the FAZE Young Fire tee in a pan of the Cesario Sneaker by Creative Recreation. Make sure the fresh slab has fully soaked up the marinade. Now, throw in some sliced Casio G-Shock Solar Powered Rescue Watch and the Conductor Web Belt by Vans. This will give it that extra flavor and tenderness. Next, throw it on the grill and allow it to cook for about 45 minutes to an hour. Once it reaches that perfect color and maximum tenderness take it off the grill. This dish is best served with a pair of black cargo pants.

The following ingredients are required for the third dish:

3. Smoked Gouda Mac and Cheese - To begin, boil some of the FAZE Young Fire tee in white in a medium sized pan. As soon as the FAZE Young Fire tee is soft (not too soft), delicately lay it on a large baking pan. Next, place some sliced, smoked Nike Air Max '97 over the dish. Now, throw in some diced Coal Stanley Beanie and some freshly chopped Flud Exchange Watch. Place the baking pan in the oven and allow it to cook for 15 to 25 minutes. This dish is best served with a side of black denim jeans.

The following ingredients are required for the fourth dish:

4. Shark Fin Soup - To start, make sure you boil the FAZE Bomb Squad tee in black and teal to a light simmer. The next step is to sprinkle in the Nike Air Max '90. Now, pour in some of the San Jose Sharks Snapback Hat. Lastly, toss in a dash of the Ray Ban 54mm Original Wayfarer and serve it with a warm cup of black denim jeans. This soup smells delicious!

The following ingredients are required for the fifth dish:

5. After-School Grilled Shrimp Po' Boy Sandwich - Prepare some grilled FAZE Respect tee in grey. Now, spread some of the FAZE Respect tee and the Generic Surplus Borstl Plimsol Wool shoe over a nice loaf. Next, throw some sliced New Era Leather Brododco 5950 Fitted Cap on top. To complete the dish, pour some of the Flud Thn Analog Watch on top of the sandwich. Please serve this dish with a side of flat black jeans.

The Agenda Show and Our Boy Mike from Charlie Noble

I hope all is well with my FAZE'd out folks. As some of you may know, those FAZE Boyz recently checked out the Agenda Tradeshow in Anaheim, CA a few weeks back. For those that haven't heard of Agenda, you've probably been living in a closet for the past few years. The Agenda Show probably has the most momentum and buzz of all tradeshows today...yes, possibly even more than the MAGIC Show that goes down 2 times a year in Vegas. Agenda features some of today's hottest brands, such as Supra, Creative Recreation, Hundreds, to name a few. It is essentially a place where trends are created. A Night In "Day-Go"

What's up folks?

As some of you may know, those FAZE Boyz we're recently in San Diego to take part in the THREAD Tradeshow. We had a fuckin' blast! What's not to love about San Diego or "Day-Go" as some people may call it? The weather, the beaches, the women, the nightlife, are just a few things to love about the city. It also reminds me a little of the SF Bay. This was the first time our brand got the chance to meet the folks of Day-Go but we definitely felt the love and support of the residents (and visitors). Believe me, San Diego will see FAZE again in the near future. For all of our supporters at home that didn't get a chance to make it to the show, this video is for you. Enjoy. Johnny Flay At His Finest!!!

Good evening class,

We're now entering the Fall season and that means class is back in session. I hope you all enjoyed your Summer break but now it's time to get back to business. Also, I hope you all have been using the swagg recipes that I've been gracious to share with you all during past semesters. There's plenty of folks out there starving for my famous swagg recipes, so I hope you've been kind enough to give back and pay your debt to society. Well, enough of me rambling about the significance of my world-renown dishes, let's kick this class into full gear. I'm not sure if your appetite can withstand the ass-kicking I'm about to lay on it but try to hang in there. I was always told, "What doesn't kill you makes you stronger!"

The following ingredients are required for the first dish:

1. The Messenger's Filet Mignon - To begin this dish, you want throw in the FAZE Messenger tee in a hot pan with salt, pepper, basil, and olive oil. Next, chop up some Asics Corrido, throw it in the pan and let it simmer. The dish should have a lovely texture at that point. Now, sprinkle in the Truckstop Beanie by Burton. You're almost done students...hang in there! To complete the culinary masterpiece, pour on some of the Moment Watch by Flud and a pair of dark blue denim jeans. You may ask, "Why do you call it the Messenger's Filet Mignon?" The reason why is that it should be delivered like a message to that whole in your face called a mouth...I thought you knew?!?

The following ingredients are required for the second dish:

2. Pork Chops with Black and White Salsa - Make sure your taste buds are at full attention before starting this dish. To start, put some of the FAZE Respect tee in a pot and add some garden seasoning. The next step is to chop up the Puma Sky High Vulc Sneakers and toss it into the mixture. Next, throw in a dash of the black and white FAZE fitted hat. You're cookin' with the best now! To conclude the dish, sprinkle in the Flud Exchange Watch, a solid black jean, and throw your creation in the oven for a short period of time because it's already hot as is. The main course is now served!

The following ingredients are required for the third dish:

3. The Orange Infused Zebra Cake - Ooh wee! This is one of Johnny Flay's favorite swagg dishes. You know you must be a special class if I decided to share this one with you. First and foremost, before beginning this dish make sure you're mentally prepared. All set? Okay, let's begin. To start this swagg dessert, blend in the FAZE Bombsquad tee until it gets nice and creamy. Now, powder on the Supra Suprano onto the creamy concoction. Next, cut thin slices of the black and orange FAZE fitted hat and throw it into the mix. I guarantee this dessert will be delightful! Lastly, toss in the The Private Watch by Nixon, some khaki cargo pants, and put the dish in the oven for a few minutes. Once you take it out the oven, make sure you let it sit for a few more minutes because it'll definitely be hot!

The following ingredients are required for the fourth dish:

4. The Coast-to-Coast Soufflé - The inspiration for this last dish comes from that coast-to-coast love and my undeniable sweet tooth. Considering that this is the last dish for this evening's class, let's finish this off with a bang. Begin this dish by pureeing the FAZE Bombsquad tee and pouring it into a baking pan. Next, sprinkle in the Nike Dunk High Premium SB. Now, mix in the New York Knicks Team RS 59FIFTY Hat by New Era. The next step is to pour in the Grass Roots Scout Belt by LRG. To conclude this dish, throw in some black denim jeans, place the baking pan in the oven for a few moments and wait until the soufflé becomes fluffy and moist. Enjoy!

A FAZE Boy Visits the Land Down Under

FAZE is so hot right now, it’s even scorching baby kangaroos and koalas. FAZE’s very own designer spent some time creating thunder down under in New Zealand and Australia. It took all the fearlessness and zealousness to do some of the crazy sh*t those Aussies do: walking on a platform 328 meters above ground, swimming in glowworm caves, boxing kangaroos, climbing red rocks and swimming with sharks. FAZE's Action Packed Weekend

What's up y'all?

I hope all our supporters are FAZE'd out and living life to the fullest. I just wanted to share our weekend experiences with y'all. Those FAZE Boyz were a part of a very important event in the San Francisco on Friday. The name of the event was Fashion Fights AIDS, which was put on by very passionate and caring folks to benefit the AIDS Walk. It was a great experience for your boys and we got a chance to see other fashion designers showcase their wares...and beautiful models of course. The organizers of the show did a hell of a job putting on the event and pulling in a large, yet diverse crowd. Check out some footage from the show below.

On Saturday, we were invited to private party put on by the folks at Studio 92. The event took place at the Vitamin Water Socialclub, which I never knew existed until that day, and featured live performances by one of FAZE's sponsored artist Stevie L., Erk the Jerk, and R.O.D. Project. Oh, did I mention that there was free alcohol and Vitamin Water all night?? I'm just sayin' though...LOL. Who Dat, Who Dat???

In the world of music videos, busty video chicks, iced out jewelry, and tight whips sitting on deuce pluses are the norm. I love music videos but the ones that seem to have a lasting impression on me are the ones that beg to be different. After all, music videos and music in general is an expression of art. Would it be out of the ordinary for a Hype Williams directed music video to be on the same level (artistically) as a Salvador Dali painting??? I say no but many will challenge me on that opinion.

The latest video by J. Cole, 'Who Dat', is one of those videos that bleeds originality and has been the standout amongst other rap videos out there. The video is also a good fit for the song, which is not easy to do because I've seen many people screw this up. For those who don't know J. Cole, he is Jay Z's newest artist on the Roc Nation label. The boy is ill because he doesn't only rap but he's also a dope producer. You have to be mult-faceted in the rap game these days (i.e. Drake who raps and sings) to make an impact. Just being a sick lyricist will no longer cut it in this highly competitive music industry. Well, peep this hot video and look out for J. Cole!!!

THREAD Show Recap

First of all, I would like to say thank you to all those who came out to the THREAD Show to kick it with your boys. This was our first THREAD Show but our supporters made us feel right at home. We really enjoyed ourselves at the show and this definitely won't be the last time that we'll be at THREAD. I would also like to thank all of the THREAD staff who worked tirelessly to promote and put together the event. They even featured us in a runway show! What's up my people?

I hope all is well and I wish you all happiness and health. I didn't want to keep anyone in the dark, so I've decided to inform you of a few developments regarding the brand/movement. First off, I'm please to announce that we've been added to another store (*applause*). This store happens to be located on the opposite coast, Brooklyn, New York to be exact. Johnny Flay Introduces His Spring And Summer Cuisines!!!

Hello class,

Culinary professor, Johnny Flay, is back in the building! I've arrived just in time for the Spring and Summer swagg recipes to wet your taste palate. I hope you're ready because the following dishes are infused with an abundance of taste, culinary style, and of course SWAGG! Now sit back, relax, and enjoy my culinary greatness. Once again, if you have swagg recipes that you feel rival mine, please bring it on because I love squashin' my competition. And remember the staple ingredient for any swagg recipe is FAZE.

The following ingredients are required for the first dish:

1. The Fantasy Greek Salad - To being this dish, throw in a generous amount of the new FAZE FAntasiZE Tee...don't be modest people, pour it on thick. Next, chop up some Nike Air Max '90 2009 and sprinkle it into the delectable salad. Now, dice up the Casio G-Shock Glide Watch and cover the salad. At this point, you'll notice that the salad somewhat resembles a Claude Monet painting. What I mean by this is that it's bustling with color...don't be afraid of color people! To complete the salad, top it off with fresh slices of the Mishka Heatseeker II Belt on some light blue jeans. This is the perfect dish for any hot Spring or Summer day.

The following ingredients are required for the second dish:

2. The Last Meal for Humanity - Before beginning this meal, you truly have to psych up like this is the last meal for man-kind. To start the meal, you want to saute the new FAZE Humani-Tee until it's golden brown. Next, you want to boil the Nike Air Max 90 Premium - Shagmeister Pack for about 30 minutes. Once it's done boiling, throw in the sauteed Humani-Tee. Remember, time is of the essence because this is the last meal for humanity. After those two items are combined, mix in the New Era Yankees Pop-Tonal Cap. This dish is absolutely delightful! Lastly, stir in the Freshjive Loreno Belt and some black cargo shorts. Dinner is served and humanity is saved!!!

The following ingredients are required for the third dish:

3. The Boss's 5 O'clock Special - You have to approach this dish with a 5 O'clock shadow and a gut full of testosterone because only true bosses can stomach this dish. The weary and weak please exit the building. For those that remain, this dish involves color. To be a true boss that is a master of swagg, you must learn how to embrace color...point, blank, period! Every boss's special must use the new FAZE Boss tee and this one is no exception. Once you've slowly roasted the Boss tee, throw in a dash of the Puma Blaze of Glory. This is truly swaggnificent!!! Next, sprinkle in a taste of the Mosley Tribes Patterson Sunglasses. To complete the Boss's Special, toss in some diced Mishka Heatseeker II Belt and some black denim jeans. Now you're the boss of all bosses!

The following ingredients are required for the fourth dish:

4. Flay's Angel Hair Pasta - You must be light-hearted before attempting to conquer this dish. To begin, boil the new FAZE Chosen tee with a touch of salt and olive oil. After about 20 minutes, drain the Chosen tee. Next, fry up some Creative Recreation Cesario Lo Sneakers in separate pan. Once the Cesario Lo's are crisp and cooked to perfection throw them in the pot with the drained Chosen tee. The next step is to pour on the Flud Exchange Watch. I know the delicious aroma is unbearable. To complete the pasta, sprinkle in some grated Benny Gold Scout Belt and some black or light blue denim jean shorts. Can't you feel all the weight that was just lifted off of your heart?!?

The following ingredients are required for the fifth dish:

5. The Monster Snake Cake - I'm a sucker for desserts and I hope you are too. This next dish is really the monster of all desserts. Begin this dish with the new, hot, white FAZE Humani-Tee. Toss in some minced Supra Vaiders. Next, mix in the Supra Site New Era Cap. You can also substitute that last ingredient with the FAZE black and teal fitted hat. The last step is to powder on some Aviator Black Frame Sunglasses with some grey or black denim shorts. Your sweet-tooth has been served!

The following ingredients are required for the sixth dish:

6. The Black and White Chocolate Cheesecake - I have another dessert that will soothe your tastebuds. This dish will conclude today's class, so I hope you all took good notes. Who doesn't love cheesecake?!? Well, this one you'll savor for your entire life. To start, blend the new FAZE Fortress tee with the Asics Alton until it's nice and creamy. Next, throw in the Meister Superstar Watch - Hybrid into the mixture. After this step, toss in some melted FAZE black and white fitted hat and some black cargo pants. Add this to the mix, place it in the oven for 30 to 40 minutes, take it out, and then let it cool for 15 minutes. Get a fork and taste the cheesecake. Doesn't it just melt in your mouth?!?

Sorry for being M.I.A. for the last few days...just been prepping for the new Spring/Summer release and putting in work at these shows. Please forgive me. Now that I got that out of the way, I can address the topic at hand - the past fashion shows featuring yours truly, FAZE Apparel.

Sounds of Fashion IV - first and foremost, I want to give a shout-out to my boy Nick of Duck Fu Ent. and Carmena who made this event possible for your boyz. The show had a pretty good turnout despite being on a Thursday night and not to mention the models looked pretty damn good in our clothing. The live performances also kept us entertained between runway segments. San Francisco and the entire Bay Area thanks for supporting one of your own. Bay Up! Unique LA Show and Downtown LA Photoshoot - The Unique LA show was a blast...point blank, period. This was the first time we sold our wares at an event outside of the Bay Area, so we didn't know what to expect. The LA folks showed us much love and embraced our brand without question. Much love to my FAZE'd out folks in LA. Not only did they gravitate toward our designs, they also internalized our name and mantra - Fearless and Zealous Everyday. They truly took hold of the concept that we've preached from the beginning. That concept being FAZE is more than a brand, it's a mentality that should be upheld at all times. I would like to thank all our supporters for seeing our vision. With that being said, the FAZE Boyz will definitely be back to LA.

The photoshoot of our new Spring/Summer line in downtown LA went perfect. We captured some good shots in the downtown area as well as some rooftop shots. What's not to love about rooftop shots?!? You guys would be able to see the glory of our photoshoot in the upcoming lookbook for the new line. Stay locked in because I know you'll love our new line. As a teaser, I've included a couple of video clips from the shoot. I've also included a clip of my first trip to Fatburger...FATBURGER!!! LMFAO. I know the Fatburger clip is not related to the show or the photoshoot but who the hell cares...it's damn funny in my opinion. Chillin' Productions 12th Anniversary Show - Last but definitely not least, we had the Chillin' show put on by the magnificent, Irene Hernandez-Feiks. This show is a fixture in the city of San Francisco and has been going on for...you guessed it, 12 years! FAZE has attended this show a number of times and all of the shows have been great. Great crowd, great music, great art, and great booze...what more can you ask for?!? Chillin' has been an integral part of FAZE's exposure to the art community of San Francisco. For all those emerging brands that are looking for a great show to vend, see if you can be a part of the Chillin' Production show. This is most likely our last Chillin' event because we want to give others an opportunity to be a part of the extravaganza. But let me tell you this we went out with a bang at this last Chillin' show. Peep this little video clip from lastnight's show.

In the end, we want to thank all those we are down for FAZE and rep us to the fullest. Without our supporters, we wouldn't be shit...I can't emphasize that enough. We will continue to work hard, bring heat to the streets, and stay humble. I guarantee we won't let you down. I know you guys probably recall our first "Fearless Sneak Peek" when we showed you a brief glimpse of the FAZE flame, fire, torch also known as the Quilted Hoodie. This time we decided to bless you with a 2 for 1 in the form of an upcoming show and a new design from our spring line. As you already know, the FAZE boys have been graggin' (grinding with swagg for those that are unaware) in overdrive status lately but I guarantee you will appreciate our efforts in the coming weeks. The FAZE Agenda...Recap

What's up folks?

This week has been crazy for the FAZE boys but staying busy is the key to progression. As mentioned in the previous blog post, we had a few things on the agenda, which included the MAGIC and POOL tradeshows, the El Camino High School Fashion Show, and the Urban Stitch Show. The purpose of today's blog entry is to recap our experience at each of these events.

Las Vegas, MAGIC, POOL, etc. - Well, Vegas is Vegas...does it ever disappoint?!? I believe not. But the purpose of our trip to Vegas this time around was to experience some of the biggest shows in the fashion industry and to party a little bit along the way. These shows consisted of MAGIC, POOL, S.L.A.T.E., Project, etc. The shows were a blast to attend and each one of them offered their own unique appeal. If you've every been to Vegas to any one of these shows, you know they consists of the hottest designs, celebrity appearances, slappin' music, and off-the-wall parties. Some of the folks that were in attendance at this year's shows were Jadakiss, B.G., Laroo, Paul Wall, Khloe Kardashian, the New Boyz, and even 'TV Johnny' made an appearance (the man responsible for hookin' up countless celebrity gold, diamond, and platinum grills). Additionally, there were more than a few brands that had some hot shit for this upcoming season. Stay tuned because the fashion game is gonna hit you at all angles...I promise!!!

The El Camino High School Fashion Show - "FAZE Loves the Kids!!" Especially, if they are involved in something that they are passionate about and it pertains to our industry. The high school kids put on quite a show this past Friday and we were pleased to be a part of their 3rd annual fashion show. There was a warm embrace for FAZE Apparel and not to mention the kids looked damn good in our gear. Big ups to my young El Camino models. Pursue your dreams and don't give up!!! For other schools that would like FAZE to be a part of your events, hit us up and we'll be glad to make that happen.

The Urban Stitch Show - Despite the bad weather the Urban Stitch show had quite a turnout. The attendees were lovin' FAZE and I believe we acquired a few more supporters. A few more folks with that FEARLESS and ZEALOUS mentality...that's what's up!!! Big ups to Big Rich for making an appearance too!!! I'll like to send a special THANK YOU to all those that made it to the show despite the rain...without folks like you we wouldn't exist. That's real talk. For those that couldn't make it, I know you show your support in other ways and we have some more shows on deck for you to attend. Stay tuned.

All in all, this was a highly productive week for FAZE Apparel. We made some key connections at MAGIC, gave back to the kids at El Camino High School, and snagged a few more supporters at Urban Stitch. We plan to make future days, weeks, and months as productive. What's up people?

I hope that the start of 2010 has been a prosperous one. As usual, the FAZE boys have been busy at work getting shows lined up, giving back where we can, getting the Spring FAZE line ready...the list goes on and on. We stay in motion because stagnation is a sickness. Shit, you know how we do. Anyway, the purpose of this blog entry is to inform you all about what we have on deck in the coming days and weeks.

First off, FAZE had the pleasure to help out with the artwork and production of t-shirts for an upcoming charity event. The Love Stinks, Cancer Sucks event will be held at Rosewood Bar on 732 Broadway (between Stockton St. & Turk Murphy Ln.) on Feb 12th. This marks the 2nd annual pre-Valentine's Day fundraiser for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. The event runs from 8:00pm to 2:00am, so make sure you're there to cop some shirts for a good cause.

Next on the list, we have a trip to Vegas to check out the MAGIC and POOL trade shows. We won't be vendors at the shows but we'll be given the opportunity to check out the hottest brands in the industry. After all, we're not the only hot brand out there LOL. The trade shows are all going down from the 16th to the 18th of February and this will sure be a Vegas trip to remember. Wait...aren't all Vegas trips one to remember?!? As soon as we touch down from Vegas, we will be heading to El Camino High School in South San Francisco to be a part of a school fashion show. We won't actually be in the fashion show but the kids will be modeling our gear and they seem pretty juiced about that. Man, I wish we had fashion shows when I was in high school but we will be given the opportunity to live the experience through the kids. You know FAZE has love for the kids! The school fashion show will take place on Friday, February 19th at 3:00pm. This show is open to the general public, so swing by El Camino High School in South San Francisco if you have some free time. Peep the two videos that I filmed during yesterday's meeting with the high school fashion models.

Last but definitely not least, FAZE Apparel will be a part of the Urban Stitch fashion show in San Francisco. This show is going down on Sunday, February 21st at 330 Rich and will run from 2:00pm to 7:00pm. The show is also budget friendly with a small admission of $3 with a free gift bag included. This is our first time at the Urban Stitch show, so it should be a blast. Strike through and check us out...you don't have an excuse not to because football season finally is over. I will post the electronic flier to Twitter, Facebook, and Myspace shortly so look out for that.

The Delicious Conquests Of Johnny Flay

What's up my people?

I know it has been a few months since you've heard from your boy Johnny Flay but I'm now back with a vengeance. In case you wanted to know, I've been traveling the world perfecting the art of cooking up the best swagg. No one does it better, so I advise you all take good notes. On today's menu, I will share with you three of my most latest, hottest, dishes. I will also give you the swagg recipes on how to make these dishes on your own. Will your dishes rival those of the great Johnny Flay? I say no...

The following ingredients are required for the first dish:

1. The Gourmet Grey Poupon Dijon Basted Halibut - Before beginning this dish, make yourself a nice hot cup of Earl Grey Tea to give you that warm feeling inside. To begin, start with the hot grey FAZE Quilted Hoodie. Next, throw in a dash of the Gourmet Quattro Leather to get the temperature just right. Continue with a few drops of the G-shock 9200 Riseman Watch in gunmetal. To conclude the dish, sprinkle in the Castellano Sunglasses silver by Mosley Tribes. Now you're cookin' with Johnny Flay!!!

The following ingredients are required for the second dish:

2. The Succulent Seafoam Scampi - To begin this dish, saute the fresh seafoam FAZE Quilted Hoodie. Next, throw in a dash of the Reebok Pump Omni Lite. At this point, the aroma of the dish should be unbearable...in fact, the best thing you've ever smelled. Once the dish begins to simmer, sprinkle in the black Tableturns Rocksmith Edition watch by Flud Watches. Now, chop up the LRG Grass Roots Scout Belt and throw it in the succulent dish. You're almost done now...hang in there because I know the unbelievable aroma has your stomach growling something fierce. The following ingredients are required for the third dish:

3. The Blueberry Angel Food Cake - There's nothing better than a dessert to satisfy that sweet-tooth. To start this dish, sprinkle in the black and teal FAZE War Angel tee. Next, mix in the DC Fighter S shoe. At this point, you'll notice that the cake will become extremely moist and that's exactly what you want. Now, throw in the Lo Down Watch by Nixon. We represent across the world, fearlessly bringing our style to new places everyday. Colombia is a crazy country, known for its drugs and corruption, but ultimately being a beautiful place with a lot of heart. One of your FAZE boys was down there recently and surveyed the locals in Villa de Leyva and found that family, culture, and style all helped define these people. FAZE is no different. We are like the small town in Colombia – not as metropolitan and as famous as Bogota, but we have local support and style for days. Happy New Years folks!!!

I hope everybody had a fun and safe New Years. And hopefully the hangover is not killin' you too much for those that did drink. A new year generally means a new beginning for many. But don't wait for a new year to hit you over the head in order for you to make resolutions, goals and changes in your life. Things like this should have a common occurrence in our lives. For those that don't embrace change, get your vice grips out because you're gonna have to hold onto it like your life depended on it. Additionally, everyday should be a fight to do better than the day before. That's exactly what's meant by living Fearless And Zealous Everyday. As far as FAZE Apparel is concerned, we have a master plan to hit you with our passion to pursue this dream and not to mention more ill designs. In 2010 and everyday of our existence, our mentality is 'On to the Next'...goal. And we intend to knock 'em out the box.

What's up peeps?

This past weekend I was watching one of my favorite shows on TV - MSNBC's Lockup. For those that don't know about this show, it shows the gritty details of life inside of the U.S. prison systems. This is not like OZ on HBO...this a documentary series about the lives of inmates facing hard time. Real life time, for real life situations. This is totally contrary to my own life but sometimes you have to see how other people live in order to appreciate the life you lead. Enough preachin'...the moral of the story is that I seen the craziest shit on the Lockup episode that aired this past Saturday. I seriously cannot stop thinking about this shit because it blows my mind away the more I think about. I have two words for you guys - 'Tattooed Eyeballs'. Have you guys ever seen this shit before?!? Peep the videos and picture below and try not to blink. Now that's FEARLESS but may be a little too FEARLESS for me. I'll try to stand out from the crowd in more subtle ways. Enjoy!

Not to be confused with the movie, The Happening, which was written and directed by M. Night Shyamalan in 2008; I'm talking about those FAZE happenings boys and girls. Let's not get it twisted. Damn, I went off on a tangent with that one...let's get back to the topic on hand. We are excited to announce that we've been added to another store - 440 Brannan Studio (see pictures below). This store is located at...well, you guessed it 440 Brannan Street in San Francisco. Go get your hands on the latest FAZE gear there. If you happen to be on the other side of the City, go grab some FAZE gear at Medium Rare Boutique on Ocean Ave as well. Another store will be added in a month or two but we'll keep that one on the hush until it is close to being finalized.

This past weekend we also had a little photo shoot for the newest threads we'll be offering online and in-store. Some of our newest items include the "War Angel" and "City of Dreams" tees and the limited edition FAZE quilted hoodie. Stay on the look-out for those because trust me, they're hot!!!

A Resuscitation Of Boxing?

Many of us may have seen the dismantling of Miguel Cotto by Manny Pacquiao this past weekend. With this stunning win, "Pacman" becomes the first boxer ever to win a championship in 7 weight classes. This clearly cements him as one of the greatest boxers of all time. This is not to discredit his genuine personality and rag-to-riches story, which has captured the hearts of millions and has catapulted him to an international icon. Pacquiao is recognized as the best pound for pound fighter and has clearly added a spark and renewed interest to a sport that dates back centuries.

On the other side of the coin, we have another great fighter, Floyd "Money" Mayweather, who many consider brash, cocky, obnoxious, self-centered and the list goes on and on. Despite what many may think or feel about Mayweather, he is also one of the top fighters of all time and was once known as the best pound for pound fighter before his semi-retirement. With a record of 40-0 with 25 KOs who's to say otherwise.

Now the stage is close to being set - Mayweather vs. Pacquiao. This will clearly be one of the biggest fights of the last few decades and will help revitalize the sport of boxing which has been steadily losing ground to the extremely popular mixed martial arts circuit. Boxing needs this...a clash of two of the most explosive fighters of our time. I can hardly wait for this to materialize. What are your predictions? But how much fun can the culinary game be if I wouldn't be able to share my coveted swagg recipes with y'all? I hope you have an appetite because I'm going introduce you to 3 succulent dishes today.

The following ingredients are required for the first dish:

1. Hot Wasabi Bird Stew - To begin this dish, you want to start off with the new "Birds" v-neck by yours truly, Faze Apparel. Next, mix in the burgundy Ultra Beanie by Lira. The Bay Area Gets National Shine On MTV Jams

The Bay Area, located in Northern California, is one of our nation's most densely populated metropolitan areas. It is home to the 'Tech Mecca', Silicon Valley and one of the world's most popular tourist destinations - San Francisco. It's been long overdue but 'The Bay', which it is commonly referred to by its residents, gets national recognition from a huge media outlet - MTV. August 2nd (today) was officially declared Bay Day on MTV Jams. This day consisted of nearly 24hrs of music videos from your favorite Bay Area artists. All of today's viewers were spoiled with classics from Bay Area legends, such as 2Pac, E-40, Spice 1, Too Short, Tony! Toni! Toné!, En Vogue, etc. Even the younger generation got its shine today - Big Rich, Mistah F.A.B., Kafani, Locksmith,...the list goes on and on. The most important thing is that the pioneers for a lot of the slang, flow, dress, game, etc. got what they rightfully deserved today - the spotlight.

Twitter, a Bay Area company and one of the most popular social networking sites, played an integral part in the success of MTV's Bay Day. As Mistah F.A.B.'s hit single, "Hit Me On Twitter", was played every hour during the day, 'Bay Day' was catapulted to the number 2 trending topic on Twitter. That's huge considering its vast user base. I personally would like to thank everyone that made Bay Day a reality and also those who showed ongoing support. A young boy by the name of Latarian Milton steals his grandmother's car because she wouldn't buy him some chicken wings from Walmart...them Walmart chicken wings must be off the hook! Damn Latarian, don't you think you went a little overboard when you pulled a GTA on grandma over some Walmart wings?!? Now, those Wingstop lemon pepper chicken wings would've been a totally different story for me at least...I would've pulled a GTA on my mom, grandma, great grandma, the preacher at church, etc. etc. because those wings are hella good. Cookin' A Plate Of Swagg With "Johnny Flay"

What's up peoples?

I've been really passionate about cooking lately and it's mostly likely the result of watching too much Food Network. Even though I'm new to the cookin' game your boy already thinks he's a young Bobby Flay. Let's be realistic though, I'm nowhere as good as Mr. Flay. The aspect of cooking that I do have Bobby Flay beat is when it comes to cookin' up a plate of that swagg. I feel generous today, so I've decided to share my swagg cookin' secrets with y'all. Below are 3 separate ingredients to cook up a dish of that swagg. Get your plate ready 'cause here they go.

The following ingredients are required for the first dish:

1. The Stuffed Chilli Pepper Party - First start off with a Faze Party Time shirt in red. Then add the red GG Sunglasses by Dragon Eyeware. Next, add some seasoning to your outfit by coppin' the Supra TK Society Sneaker in red. Now accessorize by bringing in the red Triumvirate Belt by Nixon. Lastly, add the red and gold Shmack watch. If you would like to give this meal maximum flavor, compliment it with a pair of khaki pants. Once complete, sit back and enjoy your meal.

The following ingredients are required for the second dish:

2. The "Oh, God This Can't Be True" Casserole - The first step to this dish is a Faze black and gold Christ shirt. The next ingredient is a pair of Dragon Eyeware Sunglasses in black. Now, add a big scoop of Supra Indy NS shoes in black and gold. Next, add a dash of the Krew Pinnacle Belt in gold. To complete the dish, add the Flud Tableturns Gold Band Watch. A Make or Break Economy

When I spoke to you a couple days ago, I mentioned how we would like to make FAZE Apparel recession-proof like In-N-Out Burger. That's fine and dandy but our current economic climate is treacherous, to say the least. In fact, it may have just consumed one of the most recognizable brands in the fashion industry - Baby Phat. For those that don't know, Baby Phat is a premiere female hip-hop brand that was created by Kimora Lee Simmons in 1998.

According to industryfinest.com, Kellwood Co., the St. Louis based company that owns Baby Phat, could be facing bankruptcy because of a huge debt obligation that is coming due on July 14th. How big you may ask? Let's say something along the lines of $140 million dollars!!! Daaaayyyyyuuuummm!!! Shit, I complain about a $75-$80 cell phone bill due every month but I couldn't even imagine owing someone that much. Due to the slowing economy and decreased sales, Kellwood can't pay the bonds that will be maturing on the 14th. The company did try to defer the bond payment through an exchange offer, in which Kellwood Co. would swap bonds maturing on Wednesday for bonds with more appealing terms that will mature in 2014. They were unsuccessful with this attempt. I hope Kimora's Baby Phat pulls through this, but the odds are against them in this economy. As the title states, this is a make or break economy, but at this point, Baby Phat is on the verge of being broken.

Recession-proof Like In-N-Out Burger

Happy Friday everybody,

Speaking of Fridays, one of my goals in life is to make everyday feel like a Friday on a nice summer day. I hope y'all can relate to me on that tip. Another one of my goals, or may I say a goal of the FAZE Boys, is to make our company recession-proof like In-N-Out Burger. All of us may not have a business or economic background but we should have enough knowledge to know that the nation has experienced (and still is experiencing) an economic downturn, more specifically known as a recession. During a recession, a lot of companies struggle financially and some even fold, but the west coast burger joint seems to be immune to this fiscal sickness. In fact, every time I hit an In-N-Out location to grab a bite to eat it is packed inside and out no matter what time of day it is. My main question is how do they manage to prosper during hard times like these?

First of all, their food is hella good...LOL. Aside from that, they are providing an essential need for every living being - FOOD. You may be asking, "all restaurants have food and are still entangled in the grips of the recession but how does In-N-Out manage to break free from those same grips?" The simple answer I would provide is In-N-Out provides quality food for a fast food joint. I'm not trying to knock the other fast food places but you can clearly taste the difference. The more complete answer is that this burger spot flawlessly executes a proven successful formula by providing quality food, on a consistent basis, in a timely manner.

I've exposed just part of the picture. This company utilizes, or may I say its customers perpetuate, one of the MOST powerful marketing strategies - 'Word of Mouth' marketing/advertising. We have all been persuaded positively or negatively by what the people we know have to say about a product or service. "Don't see that movie, it's horrible" and "Have you heard The Jacka's new CD, it slaps" are opinions we hear from our peers and elders alike. A lot of people can tell their friends that In-N-Out has good food but this is not exactly where the company excels. I'll present you with two words - SECRET MENU. When you walk into this fast food restaurant you only see 3 meal sections and you're probably wondering WTF McDonald's has about 12 different options. And that's when that secret menu kicks in and you ask for the '4 by 4 burger' your friend was telling you about or those 'animal-style' fries you heard that dude on the BART talking about. This creates somewhat of a suspense factor for the company and is absolutely brilliant. And did I say powerful?!? This is easily In-N-Out's competitive advantage over other fast food places.

As for FAZE Apparel, we want to replicate this formula by providing an essential need in the form of clothing, whose primary purpose is to offer warmth and protection. But we got style y'all, so don't discount that. Also, we want to deliver a quality product and create awareness of this product via 'Word of Mouth' - one of the most powerful marketing tools. So spread the word y'all and help us obtain that goal and we can grow together. Stay FEARLESS and ZEALOUS people!!!

"A Lesson On Drugs...Some Shit Just Shouldn't Be Fuck'd With"

This entry doesn't have anything to do with fashion or Faze in general but it was on my mind so I thought I would share it with you y'all. This may be old news to some but it's definitely new to me. Okay, enough anticipation building. Do y'all know the rapper Big Lurch from Texas? He did a lot of collaborations with Bay Area rappers, such as RBL Posse, Rick Rock, E-40, Yukmouth, and the list goes on. Y'all may remember the below collaboration with the Frisco's rap legends, RBL Posse

Well, Big Lurch was high on PCP one night and ate a girl's lung and intestines because he thought the devil was inside her. How crazy is that shit?!? As a result, he is now serving a life sentence in prison. I'm not condoning drug use by any means but if you're going to smoke your weed or drink your drank do your thing but some drugs just shouldn't be fucked with. Especially, PCP if you're going to be hallucinating and doing crazy shit like that. In the end, a young life (in this case two young lives) is wasted because of poor life decisions. Take care of yourselves my people and be Fearless and not foolish. I'll leave y'all with the actual news broadcast of the Big Lurch incident.

Faze Gettin' A Lil Weird?!?

Faze Apparel was at the 10th Annual How Weird Street Faire in San Francisco last weekend. This event has become a fixture in the City over the last few years and is a benefit for world peace. We can't be mad at them, any that promotes a positive cause such as world peace we're all for.

As for the specifics of the faire, it featured ten blocks of art, ten stages of music, various performances, vendors from around the world, non-profit organizations, exotic food and drinks, and much more. The event also introduced something known as a MAGIC STICKER, which gives back to the community for supporting the faire. If you missed this event this year, make sure you check it out next year. Who is Faze Apparel???

You may not know Faze Apparel or have ever heard of it before but you soon will. I bet you're asking yourself, "Who is Faze Apparel?" This is my opportunity to offer a glimpse as to what is Faze Apparel. Before I do so, let me first detail the city in which it calls home - San Francisco, CA. San Francisco is a city known for its diverse culture (to say the least), its unique artistic spin on life, its rich history, its world renown landmarks, its political ideologies, and so on and so on. I can go on for eternity describing one of the most visited and most desired cities in the world - San Francisco. I think now is a perfect time to offer an analogy to explain our connection to 'The City', as it is often called. San Francisco is the womb whereas Faze is its fetus. We seek nourishment from our city, in terms of knowledge and experience and we ultimately live life through our city because without it we wouldn't exist.

Founded in 2006 by 3 San Francisco college grads, Faze Apparel is 'The City's brand'. The word 'Faze' is an acronym for Fearless And Zealous Everyday. Additionally, the word 'faze', as defined in a standard dictionary, means to "disturb the composure of" something. For beginners, the name itself is like a double-edged sword because it offers two meanings in one name. Our brand embodies the name because we intend to disturb the composure of the fashion industry (our competition, more specifically) in a fearless and passionate manner. But Faze Apparel is more than just its name. We are a conscious clothing brand that uses cultural themes with harmonious color schemes. When I say ‘conscious’ this is consciousness in the sense that our supporters are putting significant thought in the clothes that they decide to put on and are conscious of the actual message that is being conveyed on our designs. Conscious and cultural themes are manifested in every design. Whether it be the 'Trees' design, which pays homage to the immigrants that built this country or the 'Party Time' design, which honors an aspect of Mexican culture, 'The Day of the Dead'.

If there's one thing I want you all to take away from this blog posting, it would be that Faze Apparel is more than it's name AND more than a brand. Faze is a mentality that can result in a movement.
